 Over the last few years we have been working on several projects with our fundraising efforts.  With our supportive community and great volunteers we were able to raise enough money to complete three large projects. 

1^st – Outdoor Awnings.  If you’ve been by the school you have definitely been able to see these great awnings.  They were placed over all 3 playground equipment areas and also over the patio outside the multi-purpose room.  We are so happy with how they turned out.  They not only provide shade from the hot sun, but keep the equipment cooler for play and provide shade for outdoor eating at lunchtime. We have had so many positive comments in regard to the new awnings. 

2^nd – Sound System.   Finally we are able to hear the school programs in the multi-purpose room! We were able to replace the old sound system along with new speakers in the front by the stage and also in the back for the people sitting in the rear.  We also purchased new hand and head microphones. 

3^rd – Covered soft surface for playground.  Over the summer we replaced the wood chips in the new playground area with a foam surface.  This is a soft surface that will require little or no maintenance and will allow all students access to the playground include the kids with disabilities. It will also be a soft and safe surface for all children who may fall from the equipment.  When the students return from summer break they will all love the new surface of the playground.
